YWAM Worship Album Update

Dear Friends,

Many of you have asked for an update on where things are at with the YWAM Worship Album. Well, to keep it short and sweet, things are still moving forward and we are excited with the progress.

We had over 140 songs submitted for the project from YWAMers all around the globe. At this point, we have those songs narrowed down to 12 - having identified the fact that this first project needs to be one that is easily embraced by the church so that we can continue to have a platform there. Ultimately, we see this ministry expanding to include music and worship that is narrower in style and theme, but for now, we're trying to establish momentum that gives us an opportunity to be able to professionally produce that kind of project. So many songs submitted were awesome, but would have to wait for projects down the line. One thing is evident: God has His hand on this!

So now, we're in pre-production. We have a gentleman named Andy Prickett (google him!) who is one of the most sought after producers in the music industry stepping forward to assist in this project. He is not a YWAMer, but very YWAM friendly and has a heart for this to move forward. He will be the instrumental producer. Stan Endicott will produce the vocals. Recording will take place mainly in Montana and Los Angeles for this first project, but we are looking for ways to economically but professionally include others. Pro-tools equipped studios can contribute quite easily.

The musicians are still being finalized, and honestly, we'd love to have another drummer, but the downside is that they have to make their way to Montana, and we can only pay them when the project goes into the black.

We are waiting for the contract from Consuming Worship before we finalize tracking dates. This contract is very significant, and is really the last hurdle since it includes details about what YWAM will be responsible for financially, and since we have no money, its kind of a huge deal. So - we could use your prayers for that one!

If the contract comes soon, we plan on beginning the tracks May 17th. (Norwegian Independence Day :) )
