Let's Hear It!
Dear fellow worship song writing YWAMers!
In recent months, a worship publishing company called “Consuming Worship” has approached YWAM North America with the interest of producing a nationally distributed worship CD that allows the worship of YWAM to influence the churches. This is an amazing opportunity for us as a mission to have greater access to the church as our worship music and spirit is exposed to a larger audience. This is right in line with what God has been speaking to our mission about being a resource, partnering and collaborating more with each other and with the body of Christ.
Think about the possibilities – we all know the impact and influence that Hillsong, Passion, IHOP, etc. has had on the church because of the music that has come from their midst. YWAM indeed has something to offer and is writing songs that the church should have access to.
In response, we are pulling together songs that have been written by YWAMers (in English for this first project), in an effort to capture the spirit of what God is doing in our midst. We are looking for:
1. Original songs
2. Great musicians
If you have any interest in collaborating on this project with either your creativity or experience, please let us know. At present, Kristy Wilke from YWAM Montana is serving as the collector of original material and gatherer of musicians, and together with a team from YWAM Denver, Orlando and Tyler, we are working with Consuming Worship to see this project become a reality.

In the meantime, would you pray with us that this project will honor God and that through such an endeavor, we can help mobilize the North American church to missions?

Kristy this is Great to know!
I am interested in being a part of this project.
I would like to introduce the fusion of some African drums ensemble if you wouldn't mind.
However, I also would like to know how to get my song across before the deadline. Thanks.

That's awesome! :) Is it ok if it's a demo that's already have all the instruments arranged, and is it ok to keep at least the basics of the song's arrangement? Because the arrangement is kind of like a part of the spirit of the song too. :) and also, I can play the 4 main instruments (guitar, bass, piano, drums) but i am not specialized in any of them, but i would really love to do some recording engineerings, mixings or some music arrangements, if i could or if you guys need people like this. :) cause that's why my strength is at. :) I just would love to get involve with this in any ways. :) but, no problem, I can give you the demo by the end of Feb. :)

Dear Francis,
Thanks for your interest in the project. here are some basic details:
The first project is an English language collaborative (multi-base) worship project. We are looking for songs from all over YWAM that great for leading people into a place of Jesus centered worship. We are looking to have our songs all submitted by the end of Feb. We are working with an outside publisher and distributor that already has widespread influence and has the capability of launching this further than any of us can at this time.
Songs should be original, and the writer maintains ownership. Profits are 1/3 to the publisher, 1/3 to the writer and 1/3 to YWAM Worship, which will continue to work toward future projects.
We are also looking for amazing musicians and vocalists.
