Thanks bro, :) so as long as it's 24bit, then that's fine, because I was thinking of plugging the mixer onto my 2in 2out sound card, but the thing was, I was afraid that the mixer will sample all my signal into 48kHz or lower, and than my sound card will resample the 48kHz signal into 96kHz which is still 48kHz... its just like re-save a 128kHz mp3 into a 320kHz file, which is still 128kHz... i dont know if that make scene, but that was the reason why I was thinking of that..:) but thanks guys, now i got it :)

Ya, what Steve said. It depends on the mixer. Like if you have an old school style board (no usb or firewire out) then your signal comes into the board analog and goes out to the speakers (or headphones) analog as well.

Hey Francis, if you are coming into it via firewire, usb, spdif, AES/EBU or some other digital format then it likely contains some converters for those channels but if not, it's strictly an analog mixer and you'll need to convert it before coming into the board. Hope this helps, Steve

I got a question... It might sound dumb but, is a mixer count as an A/D D/A converter? Cause I think the mixer process the signals as digital signals right? If so, then it's a A/D D/A converter, but it's really interesting that I can't find the sampling rate on any mixers, except the USB or firewire mixers. So I think I probably just learned something new accidentally. :) But I couldn't find any info online.. :( that's why I am here to see if anyone knows. :) thanks~ :)
