WHAT IS THE GOAL, CELEBRITISM OR SERVICE?

God has a reason why he gives us talents and gifting,as a gospel singer i believe that its always good to ask my self a question and find an answer as well," what have i done to preach the gospel and how have i impacted my nation". i believe that God is interested in our spiritual,physical,social and financial growth.and as a singer i think these are the areas where i can base when writing a msg through my music. HI, WHAT DO YOU THINK?

I think that, as you said, God is interested in our growth holistically. Every part. Our identity is in Him. I am His child and He my father. This is where I write from because it is where and who I am. If I were somewhere or someone else that is where I would write from. I always want to write out of my hearts overflow and try to kick against my own impulse to invoke a desired reaction in people. No matter how pure I believe my intentions to be.

So in response to your title... "Celebritism or Service", I say the goal is expression. We express what God puts on our hearts and sometimes that is celebratory, sometimes peaceful, heavy, sad, or even angry. I think that we SERVE our brothers and sisters in this honest expression. That is what art is. It points to truth and beauty even in the most hopeless and ugly of places.
